Safer Cosmetics with Beautycounter
Ever since I started Sprout, I’ve been concerned about toxins, not just in baby products, but in products for adults as well. Soon after we opened our first store, I watched The Story of Cosmetics and hoped that it would change consumer purchasing behavior. Everything it says is still true today, so watch it if you haven’t yet.
Over the years, many people have come into our stores asking our team for suggestions on cosmetics and skin care. As we focus our research on baby products, we haven’t usually had great recommendations in this area. Finally though, there is a cosmetics company that is meeting the high standards we hold at Sprout.
Sprout Approved Beauty Products
Beautycounter has banned over 1500 chemicals from its products and continues to advocate for safer products in the country overall. They are a trusted partner of Breast Cancer Prevention Partners, (BCPP) an organization doing more than any other to free our environment from the toxic chemicals that lead to breast cancer. As a board member of BCPP, I rely heavily on their research and information. Because of their partnership, I have the utmost confidence in recommending Beautycounter to our customers. Whether it is skincare, makeup, or bath and body products, we trust that the ingredients Beautycounter uses to be not just safe, but also beautiful and luxurious.
